Privacy policy
This page explains what personal data is processed when you use nexusts.eu or get in touch, for what purpose, and what your rights are.
1. Controller
Artur Blaszkowski, sole trader, trading as NEXUS Tech Solutions · VAT (VSK) no. 161620
Grafarvogur, Reykjavík, Iceland
Email: office@nexusts.eu · Phone / WhatsApp: +354 776 7576
2. What data is collected
- Chat (“Ask Arthur”): if you choose to send Arthur a message through the chat, your name, contact details (phone/WhatsApp or email), your message, the chat language, the page address and the time of sending are stored. The message is also sent to office@nexusts.eu. Your IP address is not stored with the message. To prevent spam, a short one-way hash of the contact details is kept for at most one hour.
- Automatic chat answers: questions the chat answers by itself are processed only in your browser and are not sent to the server.
- Email, phone and WhatsApp: if you contact us directly, the details you give (e.g. name, phone number, email and the content of your enquiry) are used to reply to you. WhatsApp is operated by Meta (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd.) under its own terms.
- Server logs: the hosting provider automatically records technical data (e.g. IP address, time, requested page and browser type) for operation and security. These logs are kept for a limited time under the hosting provider’s rules.
- Visit counter: the counter at the bottom of the page stores only one total number of visits. No personal data is recorded and nothing is stored in your browser.
3. Purpose and legal basis
The data is processed to answer your enquiry and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, e.g. giving a quote or finding a time (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR). Processing is also based on the legitimate interest in answering enquiries, preventing abuse and spam, and running the website securely (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing the data is voluntary, but without contact details we cannot reply. The data is not sold or used for marketing, and no automated decisions are made about you.
4. Recipients and processors
- DreamHost (DreamHost, LLC, USA) – website hosting, server and email.
- MailChannels (MailChannels Corporation) – email delivery and filtering.
The data may therefore be processed in the USA. Such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR, such as certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The data is not disclosed to anyone else unless the law requires it.
5. Retention
Chat messages are kept for up to 12 months from receipt and then deleted automatically from the server. Enquiry emails are deleted under the same rule. If an enquiry leads to a job, the data needed for invoices and bookkeeping is kept as long as bookkeeping law requires.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your personal data (Article 15 GDPR),
- have inaccurate data rectified (Article 16),
- have your data erased (Article 17),
- restrict processing (Article 18),
- data portability (Article 20),
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21).
Send your request to office@nexusts.eu. Requests are answered within one month.
7. Complaints
If you believe the processing of your personal data breaks the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd): www.personuvernd.is, postur@personuvernd.is.
8. Cookies and browser storage
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or third-party tracking, and loads no fonts or maps from outside services. The only thing stored in your browser is your language choice (“nexus-lang” in localStorage), and only after you click a language button, so the site remembers it. You can delete it in your browser settings. The visit counter stores nothing in your browser.
9. Security
The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Chat messages are stored in a folder on the server that cannot be accessed from the internet.
10. Law and changes
This policy is based on the Icelandic Act No. 90/2018 on Data Protection and the Processing of Personal Data and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). The policy may be updated; the current version is always published on this page.
